Announcement of Travel Awards for young scientists to attend the 39th ISCE Conference
Dear Latin-American Chemical Ecologists,
We are pleased to announce the travel awards sponsored by ISCE/ALAEQ to stimulate ALAEQ young scientists (Ph.D. students and postdocs) to participate in the ISCE 39th Annual Meeting to be held in Prague, Czech Republic, between July 14-18, 2024 (https://www.isce2024.cz/). Please forward this opportunity to your contacts who may be interested and meet the eligibility criteria.
Eligibility criteria:
- Applicants must be a Ph.D. student or a Postdoctoral Researcher (up to five years from receiving the Ph.D. degree)
- Applicants must be affiliated to Institutions from Latin America
- Applicants must be registered members of ALAEQ (if you are not a current member, you must become a member before submitting this application) and must become ISCE members before the ISCE conference in Prague.
Applicants must be the first author of the work (within the scope of Chemical Ecology) to be presented orally (preferred) or in poster format at the meeting.
Application requirements:
– A single PDF file containing:
– An up-to-three-page CV, including name, affiliation, email, awarded or ongoing degrees (year of receipt of Ph.D. degree is mandatory for postdocs), publications, and presentations, applicant’s signature, and date.
– A letter of support from the applicant’s senior advisor indicating they have seen and approved the submission.
– Title and abstract of the study that will be submitted to the ISCE 39th Annual Meeting (the abstract length is up to 300 words for review purposes only and is not considered a formal abstract submission as required by the meeting website)
– State if there are any alternate sources of travel funds from funding agencies or research resources (obtained and applied for).
A 3-minute video presenting the main findings of your study in English. The video should be sent through a link.
